- County line. The corridor runs through Jefferson County to Park County at Bailey; building and septic rules change at the line.
- Kings Valley. CDOT shelved the US-285 and Kings Valley Drive interchange in Conifer at 60% design in summer 2025 for lack of construction funding.
- Past projects. CDOT completed US-285 improvements at Richmond Hill (2007), Deer Creek (2009) and Shaffers Crossing (2011).

- Which county. Confirm Jefferson or Park County for permits, septic and taxes.
- Fire district. Two districts split Pine and Conifer. Confirm the district by address.
